As City Property Association members, the BBG team was treated to spectacular early morning vistas over the Fleet Street and beyond from hosts, Charles Russell Speechlys’, top floor seminar facility.
Rarely seen views were enjoyed by members of St Bride’s Church, the curvaceous new 900,000sf Goldman Sachs HQ with its 70,000sf trading floors and 1 Southbank (christened by locals as “Kim Kardashian Tower”!)
The CPA seminar outlined aims and aspirations by The Corporation of London (Tower Bridge Quarter) and local stakeholders to capitalise on the potential resulting from coincident lease expiries in 10 major buildings in Fleet Street and environs. Apart from the potential for up to 2m sf of new development the panel outlined the plans for creation of new public realm and improving the uninspiring appearance of one of the City’s major arterial thoroughfares (and of course the historic processional route).
